la la la

so justin and i moved to provo last monday. yay! our own apartment! its normally for four people, but we got it all to ourselves for the next six weeks for really quite reasonable rates. it's fun, still feels like playing house though. won't live here long enough to really have to clean it, maybe that would shatter the illusion.

forgot how beautiful it is in provo. may be kind of nutty bar, but man, the puffy pink, white, and yellow trees make me feel like im in dr seuss and un-depressed enough to go take a run so i can look at them up close. its usually evening and the sun slants across the lake and lights up the mountains gold, which are still topped with pink snow. lovely lovely.

just wish we would stop getting bouts of snow.

started my new classes, very excited about subject matter, living in dread of repeating the work of last semester. HARD. squint inducing, sleep stealing, muscle atrophying hours of paper writing, resulting in a 3.8, the most beautiful thing i've ever seen. surely amount of work input resulting in small but sparkling result similar to childbirth? (no i haven't been reading bridget jones lately, her voice just lives in my head sometimes)

anyway, got oddly sick in church today too. was fine when i arrived, it was strange to be in a young married student ward as opposed to a young single student ward. spotted several old faces from past singles wards, and had the feeling of greeting fellow survivors of huge battle, now safely arrived in oddly static (as opposed to tense, flirtatious, and desperate) place. lots of babies too. got a sore stomach and left two minutes before the meeting ended, leaving seat in front row and crossing entire room to get to the door, surely bad manners. oddly enough, second bad-first-impression-giving-early-interrupting-leaving scenario of the week, only the first one was with my new boss. ah geez.

steal it, I totally ripped it off of someone else's blog, apparently its a huge thing, with weekly themes and challenges and what have you.

also, I love the trees right now too, I smile just looking at them.

Ahhhh....After being around a bit, I must admit that Utah Valley is one of the most beautiful places I've been. But one has to discover the canyons to truly appreciate it. Other neat places....Macchu Picchu, Mendoza, Monte Alban and Oajaca, The Grand Canyon, the Superstition Mtns., sometimes Addison Oaks. (Can't say I've been to China!)
