coming home to salt lake is really strange for me. i love love love it here. not because its beautiful (only sometimes it is), not because of my crowds of friends (a slowly decreasing crew). not because i have a great job or house or anything. just because its my home. ive been having confusing dreams the past few nights where justin and i leave utah and go traveling again. sometimes they're lovely, sometimes they're nightmares.
i love to travel. i love that i married justin who takes me traveling (often on his hard earned dime). but sometimes its hard to go to school, go to church, see all these people who stay in the same place and have steady homes. and know that i probably wont have that...not anytime soon, maybe not ever. (is japan a better place to have a baby or mexico?)
its worth it to me, to see new things, think new thoughts, potentially live an extraordinary life, maybe even use this ill gotten knowledge for some good purpose. but if i didn't say that missing out on the normal life makes me a little sad sometimes, i would be lying.
here's to gardens, dogs, blenders, and other things you can only have if you stay in one place.

Everybody wants what they can't have (right now).
Everybody wants more.
I know exactly how your are feeling, cept i'm on the other side of the fence.
I understand, Anna. Having children might possibly ground you a little more. ???
(At least you have the internet!!!)
Your life will be amazing, as long as you love what you are doing. I would like to travel but I love staying home with my son. Just remember that it does get hard to do anything travel related (including to the store) once you have a child. Love your life, and you will be happy!
man, that was deep. i'm awesome.
I love this blog. Amen.
