best title ever. right? but i felt the need to post a memorial to my old converse shoes. they have finally given out. received as a birthday gift from old boyfriend grover circa 2004, he bought them off older friend libby circa 2003. i've worn them everywhere, trudged across london in them 2005, developed big holes in them asia 2007, didn't actually take them to mexico cause the holes let in the polvo but i sure wear them a lot.
last night i was putting them on and the back ripped out of one. im still wearing it but its more like a slippy shoe now and it always wants to come off. so i think its trash time; not even the DI would take them now. Maybe I'll cut em up and use the red canvas for something?
ill miss you converse pre-converse-sell-out-to-nike-and-therefore-hopefully-not-made-by-children-in-sweat-shops shoes!

hahahaaaa... i had no idea that is where they came from. that rocks. hats off to grover and libby. i'll miss those shoes too.
yeah he bought them semi-new from me for...5 bucks? 10? Man they had a good run. Since its just fabric that is ripped I wonder if you could patch them. I just bought some new lady chucks that are skinnier and cuter. sort of like if chuck taylor and jack purcell had a baby.
