my week was better than yours

i defy anyone to have had such an amazing week as i have had. first, I TOUCHED A PANTHER. yup. a big black giant scary wild panther cat. justin and i went to this wacky tiny zoo that had tons of big cats. there was a zookeeper scratching a panther´s ear through the bars, and justin asked if i could too. and the guy said yes! and i did! theyre BIG!!!

ok so that beats oh, just about everything ive ever done. but then we also ate a dish called chiles en nogada, which is a mild green chile, stuffed with meat, raisins, and almonds, and covered in a sweet cream cheesy sauce and topped with pomegranate seeds. it was AMAZING. it was five dollars. im going to eat as many of them as possible before coming home.

i also had a concha pastry the size of a tire.

and yesterday we went to a city called cholula and climbed up an old pyramid with a church on top and crossed ourselves before the virgen.
im getting tired of teaching though. cant these kids teach themselves english via U2? man those guys are everywhere.

but now i feel bad because a little beggar boy just came in the internet cafe and i brushed him off. daggit.

Pomegranates! Nothing like them. We had so many down in Arizona that I would take boxes of them to our kids elementary school and share them with their classes. Taking the time to eat a pomegranate with your little children and then spitting the seeds out to the chickens and watching them all enjoy it, can bring a great deal of peace to your morning.

Anna, by accident I found Xico, Mexico on Google Earth. Check it out and look at the incredible photos that are posted. The place looks like the Garden of Eden!!!!!
